5
Samba IRC Channels

7
Samba is discussed on two IRC channels on the <a
8 href="https://libera.chat/">Libera.Chat network (irc.libera.chat).

12
User questions about Samba can be asked in this channel.
13 Please keep a few things in mind:

16
Make sure you have read the right parts of the documentation before asking a question.

17
Don't ask if there is anybody who can help, just ask your question. If there is somebody who knows the answer, (s)he will reply.

18
Make sure you are either running the latest version of Samba or
19 have verified that your problem is not fixed in a later release than
20 the one you are running.

21
If you desperately need an answer and nobody is answering on IRC,
22 try the mailing lists.

25
#samba-technical

26
This channel is the equivalent of the samba-technical mailinglist.
27 It is used by the developers to discuss Samba internals and development.

29
Note: This channel is for discussion about
30 development issues only, not for questions about problems with Samba!

32
Libera.chat has a couple of general notes about behaviour in IRC channels.
